Oregon Coast Elopement
Bouquet and Flower Crown: River City Flower Farm in Portland, Oregon
Dress: Teuta Matoshi
Emma and Sam eloped on the Oregon Coast just south of Cannon Beach, Oregon at Elk Flats Trail in Nehalem, Oregon on a rainy day in March. I had the honor of photographing their elopement while Austin captured the day on the couple's film camera.
Emma and Sam found so many unique ways to make their wedding day their own. They had custom flower crowns crafted by River City Flower Farm in Portland, Oregon that were absolutely beautiful. The couple had their first look just as it started to hail, but it did nothing to dampen the emotions these two clearly felt for each other. The ceremony consisted of just a few close friends and family members who supported Emma and Sam as they did a traditional Celtic knot-tying ceremony.
After the ceremony, we ran off to take photos while the guests went back inside for cover and food. The couple wanted to highlight their own place in nature, where the forest meets the ocean and they could not have chosen a better spot. After some photos, we made our way down to the beach where the couple shared a homemade rose-mint soda and walked around the beach. They ended the evening by running into the ocean.
I am so honored to have been a small part of this beautiful coastal elopement as the couple's photographer. Oregon has so much natural beauty and there's a place in nature for everyone.
